Husaberg brings you the standings update after race day 4 of the 2011 ISDE in Finland.Finland is still in a comfortable lead with Spain in second. Although losing it's fastest rider due to injury Sweden remains in 4th in the Trophy standings.
In the Junior Trophy France today overtook Sweden, also due to a very strong performance of Husaberg EWC Junior rider Mathias Bellino, and is now leading by 7 minutes, Great Britain with Alex Rockwell remains 3rd.
Today brought the first retirement for a Husaberg rider, and unfortunately it was one of the fastest. Joakim Ljunggren had to retire after the day's 3rd special test when he crashed and hit his thigh hard. No bones are broken but the pain was too much to continue. Joakim's retirement of course is a major setback for the Swedish Trophy team as well as Husaberg's top manufacturer team, but for Joakim it's more important to be 100% fit for the next round of the EWC on 3rd and 4th of September in Andorra.
After his big crash and consequential time penalty yesterday Oriol Mena clenched his teeth and started to work his way back up through the ranks from 22nd to 18th position in E3 today.
Marko Tarkkala had another great day of riding without any problems and maintains his E3 lead as well as 3rd overall. After the DNF of Joakim Marko is now already more than 2:30 minutes clear of his closest rival in E3.
Hans Vogels kept his momentum today and moved up to 9th in E2 and 18th overall. Junior Mathias Bellino is proving that he's a fast learner as he's getting faster day by day. Only today he gained another 5 positions in E2 and an impressive 11 positions overall.
